PIE & COFFEE MONTH CLUB

Hi y’all. If ever there’s been a time I’ve cherished homecooking it’s been lately. I don’t know bout how y’all are feeling but I need some comfort food something fierce lately. So here’s a little back story for y’all.

Donovan and I closed Longhorn Coffee Bar and Saloon after our Grand Opening a couple weeks back. We were lying in bed and grinning’ from ear to ear at our accomplishment and how many people came, some friends, some family, some friends who have become family to support what took us 5 years to create. Now, we didn’t know it would launch in the middle of a pandemic, but were the kind of people who are risers and so that doesn’t make or break us and as we were laying there that evening hearts full from the support y’all gave us, Donovan pipes up with “why don’t you offer a once a month pie and coffee deal folks would purchase your traditional great granny’s recipe blackberry pie and get one coffee of their choice from Longhorn Coffee Bar and Saloon.” Well, y’all you guessed it. We are gunna make pies a limited quantity once a month on no particular day and all you have to do is pick up your fresh pie here at Wheat Brothers Farms and then I’ll sling ya your favorite Longhorn Coffee to boot to go with it. T H A T S I M P L E!

I know going into the autumn months I look forward to that down home cookin and granny’s pie with homemade whipped cream. I’m only doing a limited number and will be on a first come first serve basis. I’m so grateful to each of you who post about our little farm in the city and truly take the time to see what a little simpler life can be like. It’s really warmin’ my heart.
