All Is Well

All Is Well

I wrote a children’s book! I cannot believe it has been a few months already since it arrived in our post.

As I stood in my driveway with my husband and my three boys around me, I still recall the trembling feeling in my hands as I opened the box. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when that package arrived. Then once opened, I could barely look at the contents due to shock.

Is that my name on the cover? is that the gorgeous artistry of my dear friend, Hannah Dunn? Had it really been nearly nine years since I first thought of the little blue jay and the boy.

Those memories and premise of this book originated from the moment I brought our son home from the hospital. It wasn’t loo long after, I would so often find him peering out the window and a blue jay would fly into our back yard. The blue jay would sit near the slider, watching and almost conversing with my just a few months old feller. It was so mesmerizing to watch. My son would get so excited and flap his arms up and down when the blue jay would fly away and then come back.

They just understood one another, plain and simple. What’s even more miraculous is that whenever my son is at his daddy’s house, there is ALWAYS a blue jay at our home in his absence.

Finishing this story I started so long ago, was just something that I felt drawn to do. It tells the story of broken families who are redeemed, and that blue jay seemed to be the perfect way to help symbolize our life experiences.

Thank you to all that have already purchased my book and shared with your families, it means more than you know to me.

As the holiday season approaches, this book would make a beautiful gift to families who have dealt with divorce or blending families and teaching young children to have hope in the midst of that. If you would like to purchase a copy, it is available in a Kindle edition on Amazon or send us an email at hello@wheatbrothersfarms.com to purchase a hard copy edition.

Blessings Abundant,
